Yes, I am in Texas. I opposed HPV vaccine mandate. It was a mistake by Perry. He admitted it. It’s a dead issue from 4 years back.

That being said doesn’t give people the right to distort the facts. Such as the fact that vaccines - including this one- save lives, that Texas has an opt-out so that nobody is ‘forced’ to take the vaccine, etc.

Bachmann and Santorum both made false statements on this topic and it should be corrected.

“So you tell me why would you defend executive order mandates”

Again, I opposed and oppose it.

Perry did not really back away from the most important aspect, politically, of his EXECUTIVE decision to mandate the vaccine.

There was no "opt out", there was a form to submit requesting status as a conscientious objector with the government being the judge of that.

Wearing breathing apparatus in the bathtub saves lives. You think government should mandate that as well?

More to the point Obamacare claims to save lives. You OK with Obamacare if they have an "opt out" requiring you to file as a conscientious objector with government as the judge of that status?

And to get to your other point, there is no data showing Gardasil saves lives, there is data showing that HIV and other STD's including HPV strains that aren't innoculated by Garadasil increase significantly with multiple partners.
