It stops several strains of HPV, not just one.
And on an if come, we are injecting 9 year olds?
Actually it was supposed to be 12-year olds. The idea is to get the vaccine before they are sexually active. Do you have any idea how many 12-year olds are already sexually active?
I refuse to experiment with my kids.
Good for you. That is why there was an opt-out.
Gardasil is not the equivalent of other childhood vaccinations.

“In the clinical studies alone, 23 girls died after receiving either Gardasil or the Aluminum control injection. 15 of the 13,686 girls who received Gardasil died, while 8 died among the 11,004 who received the Aluminum shot. There was only one death among the group that had a saline placebo. What this means is that 1 out of every 912 girls in the Gardasil clinical studies died. (9, see page 8.) The cervical cancer death rate is 1 out of every 40,000 women per year.10”
Actually, both of us are wrong. It stops two.
Gardasil has been used in prevention of two types of HPV infections, associated with approximately 70% of HPV cases.
