Some of these people referenced in the story need to get a grip and understand that the jumpers were murdered just like those who went down inside the towers.
It is absolutely astounding to me that anyone would consider these people suicides but then I remember a coworker on the day that it happened telling me that he didn’t understand why people jumped. I was amazed and asked him what he thought he would do in that situation and he actually told me that he thought he would have walked into the fire, I told him he was nuts, there is no way to do that. He never said anything about suicide, it seemed that he just had no concept of what burning feels like and thought that somehow it would be easier than jumping. I still shake my head in disbelief when I think about it. Anyone who has ever had even the most minor burn should know that given that choice it is inconceivable to think of walking into the fire rather than jumping.
