You lied here in print, you were not falsly accused.
She said EARLY September.
That would be no later than September 14.
Now are you going to publicly apologize for falsely accusing me of being a liar?
” Dust off your copies of The Art of War and see what is really going on. “
If it interests you, there’s a History Channel special on Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War”, it’s on YouTube and I believe it is the third segment, they talk about Sun Tzu’s military strategy and how it differs from traditional Western battlefield tactics, then draws comparisons between them and then shows how the games of chess and the Oriental game of -Go- also use different strategies and ways of thinking...if it’s of interest, check it out, you may have a lightbulb moment like Ì did...
>> “That was a softball question she should have been able to hit out of the park.” <<
.
No, it was a lead-in, and to those that understand politics, she did hit it out of the park by killing her lead-in.
Also, what you fail to notice was that there wasn’t a Couric interview, it was clipped together fron three days of Couric following her around.
If we see Perry as the nominee, that is the end of America, one way or the other.
.
Really?
Sarah Palin to announce decision on White House bid by late ...
Every military officer I know has a tattered copy of “The Art of War” on his or her shelf. Including my own husband.
It’s really not that obscure or ingenious. It’s pretty common sense stuff.
>> “She said EARLY September.” <<
.
No, that is fabrication.
You are using the words of others and trying to put them in Palin’s mouth.
Randy and mazz44, if you check the link P-Marlowe posted it takes you to a short AP story from July which reads:
WASHINGTON (AP) Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she'll announce her intentions for the White House in late August or early September.
Note that it's the Associated Press writer who's "reporting" that Palin said that on the Hannity show, but he does not give a direct quote from the transcript of the show. If you do a search on this topic you'll find many more links which TALK ABOUT this "quote" from Palin without providing the original transcript or a link to actual video.
They're all just basically repeating the original AP story, and some of them actually put the phrase in quotes, but again, without providing the original source verification.
My professional background was in broadcast media syndication and I have some experience in this field. AP is a news syndication service, which means that they sell a news-feed to broadcast and print clients who mostly just rip AP's copy off the teletype, change a few words here and there, and regurgitate it to their local markets often with their own byline. I dealt with them all, AP, Reuters, et al. and I know from experience AP is one of the most dishonest and agenda-driven media entities in the world. Trust them at your peril.
Now, I don't know if that's really an accurate quote from Palin or not, but these people have not provided proof, merely hearsay.
That said, if you want to know the truth about this alleged Palin quote you'll need to research the Hannity archives at FOX and ignore the various third-party internet sources and the dishonest ankle-biters in these threads. My advice is it's really not important. The passage of time will sort all these issues out.
Did you bother to read past the headlines? The headlines said "late summer". Palin said late august or EARLY September. The late summer blip was the AP Headline. Regardless, it is "late summer" now. Where is the anticipated announcement?
So when can I expect to see you do your Christian duty and publicly apologize for calling me a "liar"?
I don't really care if you do. I understand your irrational defense of Palin. But your reputation is on the line here. Publicly falsely accusing fellow Christians of being liars is something you will have to answer to God for. I have told the truth.
Really? You mean there is no more Texas either?
(Golly, who knew?)
You deserve some sort of medal for service beyond the call of duty. I don’t even want to hear about it. I actually watched the football game instead. LOL. I never watch football, but it sure beat hearing anything about that hypocritical farce.
In fact, it IS a game, with very high stakes, it's just that you don't get to make the rules
If that makes you feel badly, take comfort in the fact that I don't get to make the rules either.
But I do know what they are.
That is the story that went out the day of the interview. I don't see that Palin ever repudiated the story. Thus, even if she didn't use those words, she left the impression that she was going to announce her intentions no later than late August or Early September.
I posted the story as it was sent out on the newswires. Palin never "refuidiated" it.
So anyone who calls me a liar, is.... mistaken.
It is late Summer. Has she informed anyone of her intentions?
Here you go:
Sarah Palin Tells Sean Hannity That Aug & Sept. is basically the time frame”

E-S, I read those links that Marlowe gave and they all did say late August or early September. And since summer is june 21 to sep 21, late summer would include late august and early september.
August/September is what she says in the video link. That fits with both “late summer” and with “late august/early september.”
One has to wonder if there’s another quote elsewhere.
One thing she did say is “legally.” Is there some requirement that would further nail down her words about august/september?
In any case, there is no way that you lied. And there are more reasons to think you are correct than to think you are incorrect.
Sarah Palin said she’d announce by the end of September, so let’s just take her at word and leave it at that. She knows she can’t announce any later than that and participate in the critical IA caucus or NH/SC primaries.
But, no, neither she nor anyone else could come in in February and win. That would be too late to enter the early caucuses/primaries. By the end of February/early March, GOP primary voters will coalesce around one or possibly two candidates. I’d venture it will be all but over by the first week of March, 2012.
The purpose of primaries and caucuses is for the candidates to line up delegates to the nominating convention. As they are selected, they will be committed to whichever candidate they were with in the primary.
