Oh, but they do and did. I have a friend, who said just that, wanted the cars to slow down, his kids played in the street. I told him the exact same thing, so much for getting the cars to slow down, if your kid is in the street anyway, and can die from fast or slow cars.
Oh yes, there are people like that. Good analogy. These are people who think they are no matter what their right is greater than anyone elses, at the espense of their child or other loved one.

It’s really unture to say that the shooting location is “surrounded by” military facilities. “Down the highway from” one major one, and others that a resident might never be aware of is accurate. “Surrounded by other restaurants and stores” is also accurate.
The motive may still be determined, but the geographic location doesn’t tell us much.
