Never mind, I found it. In Texas, the DNA doesn’t have to be yours to incriminate you. Josiah Sutton and Kevin Byrd were both incarcerated because of false testiony from the crime lab scientists.
It probably have seemed smarter to suppress evidence than to allow it to be presented as ‘conclusive evidence of guilt’ when it might not have been.
What if it’s not the death penalty? What if it’s just 60 years for a crime you didn’t commit?
Yeah, I'm coherent today. :-)
He didn't want DNA testing done. Now he does. I suspect he thinks it changes with time.
Will he ever be fooled.
We had one of those guys in Virginia. He'd bashed in somebody's head with a shovel. Had all the Leftwingtards claiming he was innocent. DNA testing was finally done and he was the killer.
This is undoubtedly one of those jailhouse fictions ~ that DNA degrades in such and such a time.
How hard would it be for you to provide a link? I'm not sure what you're so worked up about...
Old Testament, for sure.
What about the woman caught in the act of adultery, ready to be stoned under OT law?
What did Jesus say?
Re-read what I wrote; the state has the right to execute.
I believe in self-defense and defense of others, even in situations that pose no immediate risk to the one using deadly force.
I said I wouldn’t execute a sinner strapped to a table.
What don’t you get?
What did he say in Matthew? I come not to replace the law but to fulfill it?
There is nothing in the New Testament about ending capital punishment.
For murderers?
Jesus would say something along the lines of “I forgive you and hope you find peace - Hit the switch, Peter!”
There is nothing explicit about ending capital punishment in the NT; just that one intervention I referred to. I said elsewhere that the state has that right; we are enjoined to obey the laws and authority. What I said was that I could/would not execute someone in that situation. I do not have a problem with use of deadly force in defense of self or others, to include country. Take care.
