Not really a fan of Ann either, she does have a point. Period.
Palin's merits and flaws notwithstanding, a not insignificant percentage of her fans would surround her with styrofoam Greek columns if they could. It might be an uncomfortable comparison, but it's entirely true.
I totally agree with your criticism of her fans and Alex’s wish for her to decide soon, but I think it’s a bit unfair to hold Palin’s overzealous supporters against her.
That’s very delusional of you. Period.
You have no idea of what is attractive about Palin. You need to get out of the box more. You come off like a Jon Stewart fan-boy.
Look, this might be uncomfortable conclusion to reach about you, but it’s entirely true.
I myself have compared Sarah Palin to lightning in a bottle and called her the love child of Theodore Roosevelt out of Annie Oakley. But offerings of praise for an authentic conservative talent who knows how to outmaneuver the PR Masters of Disaster who work as JournoListers now, who is honest and actually raised an intact family while pursuing a career in politics cannot remotely be characterized as the insane hero-worship that MSM drones deliberately attached to an empty suit with a Harvard diploma (earned how honestly, honestly?) because his agenda mirrored their own very Prog/Red/Stalinist values.
People who read this board know very well that enthusiasm for a politician or author doesn't long survive a swing to the left or the beginnings of a "glide path to the White House" that typifies canny triangulators as they depart from lifetime positions in a search for "electability" to high office.
Examples of conservatives who've done this include John McCain, Orrin Hatch, and now John Thune.
