I don’t think Hoffa was calling for physical violence. His crude talking was in the context of getting his people out to vote on election day. But given the ridiculous attempt to pin the attack on Congresswoman Giffords on Sarah Palin, I do not not see how the leftists have room to complain.

Even if violence wasn't the intent, the crude and hostile language was disgusting and violent and should not be forgotten.

I think you're stretching to read something into Hoffa's crude remarks that just isn't there at all and never intended to be there. His preceding comments were talking about war, and the unions being part of 0dumb0's army. If I threaten to "take out the SOB's" it's a complete utter fallacy to think that I am talking about an election..... or taking them out to dinner. The union bastard Hoffa is threatening to "take out" Tea Party members & conservatives.... he is talking about physical violence and/or killing them.

I think that most of the union thugs are like schoolyard bullies. Punch 'em back hard in the nose and they will scatter like frightened cowards, and run crying back to mama or in this case the partisan media.

The words “take them out” do NOT mean getting people out to vote, not when uttered by a union leader of a union known for thug action, along with the UAW.

These comments were directed at the Tea Party, equating them with the GOP, which they are not. The Tea Party is much feared— they are the small business employers and workers... the same workers that the dems want to have “card check” to unionize a small firm. This is very much calling for physical violence, preferably at a Tea Party rally or better a “pseudo” Tea Party event that is owned by the dems. This is how things are. They are not civil at all, and we had best be on our guard and record everything.

They don't have room to complain. We must understand that
we are in a war. Extreme liberalism is evil and we have to fight it. No compromise is possible. Compromise is what has gotten us to this point. Have I called for violence? No, but one has to understand that it may come to that at some juncture. We have to stop sugar coating these clowns. Teamsters are soft furry little guys that you could just cuddle up with. I don't think so. The line is being drawn in the sand. We have to be willing to fight them tooth and nail. Nothing else will save us. We have enough ammunition to go on the offensive against these pigs. We have to push back and not keep taking this crap.
How? The media. The only way we can fight short of a real war is to start controlling the message. We have conservatives who have the money to buy media outlets. They must do so. Fox, for what its worth, and Drudge etc. are not enough. Rush helps but most of the others are light weights who pull every punch they try to land. Locally we have exercised control to the point of getting rid of an entrenched RINO in the state senate. Quite a surprise for everyone. We are now the new powerbrokers in this area. No quarter. Challenge everything.
