Yes, my business visit and stay in Elizabeth was most memorable. It just over a year after 9-11 and we were there to train airport workers on new IED detection technology.

WTF with NJ and not letting people pump their own gas?

The part I enjoyed the most was my Saturday morning drive to NYC since I’d never been there before. My visit to Ground Zero was quite disturbing; it was the saddest place on earth.

What I can say is that I never before appreciated the size of NYC or the pride that New Yorkers had for their city. It is nothing short of awesome.

Then I had to return to New Jersey. Damn.

Some parts definately stink but it’s not all bad. Once you get away from the urban areas, people are generally quite friendly and laid back. Northwest NJ is represented by one of the most conservative members of congress (Garret). If you ever come back here, come to my part of the state. We’ll treat you right and you’ll have a good time.
