I found the grammar interesting by this writer though. I'm far from being a pro at grammar but I don't work for the Washington Post either.

Hahahaha....This kind of mistake happens in my own writings when I amend a sentence I start typing so significantly, but then don’t re-read to ensure propriety. She may have written something first that required “sent”, but then amended the whole thing, but forgot to re-read and correct.

That said, the "might want to sent" looks to me like one of those super-stealth typos that slipped past a (or multiple) proofreader. I've seen it happen enough to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.
