You all know me to be a Perry supporter and a anti-Palin Freeper. So flame at me all you want. Just wanted this opinion piece to be on FR and debated.

Gov. Palin is not going to endorse any of them. Certainly not the crony capitalist king Rick Perry.

But he still whines and begs......

[Art.] If Perry stumbles, she might get into the race. But don’t bet on it.

Straight inside dope on Sarah Palin's intentions, read it in the Washington Post. Right.

[right way right] I’m starting to think she’s running for V.P.

No, I think she's in it to win it, and she is doing a late-entry strategy very deliberately. Takes guts doing that because Fred Thompson was forced to do that by contractual obligations to NBC in the last cycle and his effort collapsed for lack of money (the available money having been already spread around among the contenders). He ended up showing up for a South Carolina pre-primary debate in a taxi.

It's risky, she could conceivably end up getting hosed like Fred, but I'm guessing she calculates that she could still attract small-contributor help sufficient to overcome the early-money exhaustion Fred encountered.

Besides, early money in GOP primaries is sugar-daddy RiNO money, going by old news stories about donor reports from the FEC.

For the first time this morning it looks to me like she is running. She knows that once she declares she will need a ton of personal security and now has been her time to get out and meet the people. She also knows that when she declares it will be big news and will dominate the coverage. The 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 is coming and my thought is she would not want to distract from it nor take away any coverage. So I think she is waiting for those 2 reasons and I would not be a bit surprised if she announces on Sept. 12. And being true to her work she will do it on that local radio show in Alaska. Maybe a call in from a historic spot.

I’m liking the idea of Palin/Perry or Palin/Ryan. Romney would do good in a cabinet spot, maybe Sec. of Commerce.

If Palin doesn’t run in 2012 then she can forget 2016, even if Obama wins. She just does not have a sustainable power base to wait 4, or especially 8 years. If she wants the presidency then it’s now or never.

Hey look Hobbes, your insane conspiracy theory has gone semi-mainstream.

Congrats.

Palin will wait to see how Perry does in the debates. Then she will assess the likelihood that moderates will overcome their uneasiness with her after watching her commercials and movie. If she thinks she can beat Perry in a debate, and if her internal research shows she can overcome her negatives, then she will run. The only bad news would be if she split the conservative vote and Mitt won the nomination.

IMHO
