Whenever you hear that, you need to remind them that it had nothing to do with not being able to take the heat. She’s been taking heat since September 2008.
Oh, I agree. I think very highly of Palin. She's my not first choice, but if she were to enter this race and win the nomination, I would gladly vote for her without any reservation.
That is such a 180 from 2008 when I gladly voted for Palin as VP, but held my nose on the McCain part of that ticket.
The press did such a hatchet job on her in 2008, and the McCain people did nothing to throw water on that fire. Granted, her Couric interview didn't help matters, but it's hard to come out swinging when the man in charge kept her restrained. I really do not like McCain because of that campaign.
I have a co-worker who is in her mid to upper 20s who has taken a leave of absence to work the ground in Iowa for Palin. I admire her drive to work for free up there. She's single and can do it. She was never in politics before 2008, but Palin did something to motive the hell out of her. I emailed her this week telling her how proud I am of her. She knows I'm a Perry guy, but knows that I am a big fan of Palin. My only fear is that the people like my friend will completely give up and sit out if Palin doesn't run. This is the risk Palin runs by waiting so long. Her supporters are waiting on pins and needles for this, and I hope they don't bad mouth her if she decides that a run isn't in the best interest to her and her family.
I've already started to see hints of that on here when the option of her endorsing Perry comes up. We'll see though. The water's warm, so hop on in.
