The war on drugs and the war on guns are more related than people realize. The WOD gives politicians cover to pass unconstitutional legislation like the Brady Bill, the Assault Weapons Ban, the 86 gun control act (known as the Firearm Owners Protection Act, yeah right), etc. They say that we need laws like this to keep weapons out of the hands of drug dealers, ignoring the fact that most drug dealers use stolen/illegal guns in their crimes anyway. They also ignore the fact that the only reason drug dealers exist is because drugs are illegal, thus creating a black market. If we end up with gun bans in this country like in other countries, you can thank the drug warriors, in part, for it.
