actually for once, I partially agree with a “blame the USA” article. Doubt there’s many Tea-Party or regularly attending Evangelical Christians or Catholics that make up much of the drug addiction problem though.

But we seem to ignore the connection between the high demand for illegal drugs and the violence associated with drug trafficking — not only in Mexico but in cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.

Alejandro Escalona

These large cities are flooded with illegal Aliens like yourself.

You and they are one and the same criminals that are destroying
both Mexico and the United States.

Is THIS the US bear they're talking about?

Sorry, that's how I read the headline ... US bears ... responsible, etc.

Of course the US is to blame. Somehow, some way, no matter how tortured the “logic,” it always is, isn’t it?

Nobody, except myself, talks about the tons of money the drug cartels makes by smuggling illegal aliens into the United States. The illegals pay about $2,000 each or more to the cartels for this “service.” Anybody who encourages or pays for illegal immigration bears some responsibility for the violence in Mexico. If you use drugs smuggled here or people smuggled here you are responsible. Yes, that includes the Roman Catholic clergy and other clergies. There, I said it.

The U.S. represents a yearly $39 billion market for the drug cartels because an estimated 25 million Americans — 12 and older — consume some type of illegal drug, according to the Justice Department.
Hey, Alejandro, that's what Prohibition gets you, as the Justice Department knows.
Besides, Mexico is just as culpable in the current situation as Mexico signed onto the UN's drug treaties, which is the penultimate, unrecognized source of your feigned angst.

The whole nation is guilty because some eight percent do something wrong?

Nope, not hanging that on the 92% who DON'T.

Now, while y'all have the DOJ on the line, how 'bout axing them about running guns into Mexico. I bet they have some tales to tell, even if they aren't talking.

Bull Flop! Even if drugs were made totally legal in America the drug lords in Mexico would still kill each other and the citizens of both countries to gain top dog status.

Even if they made them legal in both countries the drug lords and manufacturers would be fighting like animals to be the king of the hill.
