Palin would be great as head of Dept of Energy.

“Palin would be great as head of Dept of Energy.”

Hopefully, she’d be the LAST secretary of that department. She’d oversee shutting it down and then move on to shut down Education, Commerce, Labor, HHS, Agriculture, and then Homeland Security.

They would then make her SecAF, so she could shut down the Air Force and merge it into Naval Space Command, giving any close combat support assets to the Army.

Total savings? Priceless.

I think you mean interior. Energy is a bit of a misnomer, they’re in charge of nuclear issues. Interior is in charge of oil and gas.

But why would she even want to be in the cabinet? She’d have to be in DC all the time, and she’d make a tad under 200k a year. She already makes at least 5 times that just from showing up on FOX a few times a month from her home studio for 5-10 min at a clip. That’s not even counting all the other opportunities and the freedom it leaves her with to stay in AK(which she clearly loves and has pretty much lived in her whole life), and with Todd and the kids.

I can see her giving that up for President, that’s a pretty big deal. But to give all that up and take a huge pay cut just to be some run of the mill cabinet secretary in a relatively minor dept? (Can you even remember who W’s Interior Secy was?)

I don’t see it.

One of the first Acts of the new President should be to do what he can executively to shut down the Department of Energy (while the Republican Congress works on eliminating it) and certainly not to appoint anyone to it who can make it appear benign.
