I guess opposing the murder of babies makes me pro-abortion, opposing the WOD makes me pro-drug, and supporting the right of local communities to regulate pornography makes me pro-porn. Hint: if you have to lie about your opponent’s positions, you’ve already the lost argument.

Polarization is a standard propaganda tactic, wherein if you disagree with any part of someone's argument, in any degree, you will be accused of supporting the exact opposite of their position, on every point, so that it becomes an all or nothing proposition.

Like loaded questions, the best thing to do is just tag it and bag it. There's not really any point in engaging it, and there's a high probability it's just bait to get you to say something intemperate that will get you banned.

You’re right. It’s not worth engaging them. I could use the same tactics, by accusing WOD fans of supporting the murder of innocent people and the drug cartels, but I’m not a fan of those who distort other people’s arguments in order to make their arguments seem appealing.
