In a letter to Clinton about Hillarycare in 1993 , Perry wrote:
I think your efforts in trying to reform the nations health care system are most commendable.
I would like to request that the task force give particular consideration to the needs of the nations farmers, ranchers, and agriculture workers, and other members of rural communities, Perry continued, noting his administrations focus on economic development for rural Texans.
Rural populations have a high proportion of uninsured people, rising health care costs, and often experience lack of services.
Again, your efforts are worthy, Perry concluded, and I hope you will remember this constituency as the task force progresses.

I seriously doubt that Rick Perry had any idea what Al Gore’s ACU rating was. While his record certainly didn’t indicate it, he ran as the most conservative rat running in 1988. As for endorsing Rudy, it’s better than endorsing McCain, Huckabee or Romney. My candidate was Fred, but I think Perry endorsed Rudy before Fred entered. Ideally, Herman Cain would win the nomination, but realistically it’s going to be Perry or Romney and you better make your choice. I’m far from sold on Perry, but he’s certainly preferable to Romney.

I take it you’ve seen this classic - Herman Cain takes on Bill Clinton on Hillarycare (it is widely held that this exchange led to the defeat of the Clinton healtchare bill)

In every court I know of, the testimony of the person directly involved is considered evidence. I do believe they are required to take an oath, and are then subject to perjury charges. Politicians the Court has declared are not accountable for telling campaign lies.
Most recently they ruled that it was ok to lie about military service. So I am not required to take his statement as the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

ince you reference illegals, which are never mentioned in the letter or the article.I read it and could easily realize that the greatest benefit would be to the illegal migrant workers. Brains are a useful thing to rightly divide the truth.
