Just promise me you’ll take a -good- motorcycle riding course and be very, VERY careful for the first couple thousand miles.

It’s a joy beyond expression but the initial learning curve is what you have to get by.

I went through the MSF basic rider course. After I get the bike I’m planning to go through the advance rider course. I also plan to be very choosy on my riding for the first year. I do not plan to take it into high volume traffic, and will be riding with experienced riders. The person I’m buying the bike from was my dad’s best friend for more than 35 years, and they have ridden all over the U.S. together. He’s an excellent rider, and will provide me with a lot of help.
