Politicians will usually kick off an election campaign with a rousing speech, a meet-and-greet handshaking session or a nice photo opportunity kissing a baby. Unless, of course, they are Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who joined a biker gang and led them on a testosterone-fuelled motorcade. Over-revving the engine as he sat astride a three-wheeled Harley Davidson, the former KGB tough man looked both ludicrous and very much at home in the latest of macho stunts that have punctuated his political career.

I went through the MSF basic rider course. After I get the bike I’m planning to go through the advance rider course. I also plan to be very choosy on my riding for the first year. I do not plan to take it into high volume traffic, and will be riding with experienced riders. The person I’m buying the bike from was my dad’s best friend for more than 35 years, and they have ridden all over the U.S. together. He’s an excellent rider, and will provide me with a lot of help.
:)
I saw a guy with what looked like a homemade “bionic” leg from the knee down doing donuts in a dirt field.
God bless ‘im.
The difference is, I don’t tell people what they “should” ride and I don’t condemn them for what they *do* ride.
That’s what “freedom” is supposed to mean.
Now, my wussy other half and wussy self are going for a ride on our Codger-Cycles.
See ya later!
:)
Do you even read what you write or is there some form of thesaurus that specializes in hysterical hyperbole?
I would hug you if I could reach you!
Check out my page for my TON theme bike.
;]
God bless you sir and I hope you enjoy yourself to the *max*!
[somewhere, your dad is smiling]
:)

I have 9 grandchildren, and am just north of 50. I’m not in the least bit interested in one of those “grampa” (comfort) bikes ;-) My mountain bike is almost 21 years old - heavy as hell, and has no shocks.
Sir? Not so much. I work for a living ;-) I will enjoy riding, and yes, my dad is smiling. I first found out my dad’s friend, Jim, was selling this bike after buying a newer Wing in June. I went through the MSF course in July. I’ve been chomping at the bit to get out for a ride for weeks now.
LOL!
Okay...”hey you”, instead.....:)
Enjoy yourself and ride safe.
Rubber side, down, please.
Gotta go...bike’s idlin’.
Later!
Keep it between the ditches.
Putin is the poor man’s Arnold Schwartznegger (I can’t be bothered to look up the spelling).
Sorry, no matter what your bike guru calls it, that kind of bike is a sissy bike . . . always was and always will be . . . they're trying to chickafy the men's bikes now, huh?
I know it is the in thing to bash Putin, but I would far rather knock back a few with him than most US political types. You do know which side of the fence he plays on.
You’d be amazed how much of one is Japanese or other Asian supplier. Used to have great fun letting the air out of the :US-made” brigade in the 70/80’s pointing out the Japaneses brakes, electronics, and such when they bad-mouthed our sprotbikes.
Time to upgrade! I can’t imagine riding the bike I rode 10 years ago, let alone my first ATB I bought 20 years ago.
I stand corrected. I'm not a car or motorcycle guy, and these days I can't drive anything without a LOT of space for multiple car seats or booster seats.
My father-in-law did have a Harley-Davidson until a few years ago when he sold it to his brother. He "blamed" the grandkids but I think my mother-in-law finally put her foot down.
Female opinion is often a factor...:)
I have a Yukon for hauling.
If TSHTF, I have to bug out with 5 dogs, 2 goats, 1 psycho bunny and possibly 40 gallons of tropical fish.
[the last being a logistical nightmare]
Until then, it comes in very handy for sacks of feed, bales of straw and hay for all the above.
[’cept the fish...I can just carry their food in my handbag]
I really miss my ‘impractical’ little Scirocco.
:-\
*ick*
I wonder if he’s read about bike seats causing impotence?
I’d mess with them more and just say “Ralph rode a Sportster”....:)
Ask them what Knieval used *before* the XR-750.
You have a good an decent attitude towards your fellow riders, BTW.
