President Obama said Monday that the jobs plan he will unveil next week will include ideas with bipartisan appeal.

Speaking in the White House Rose Garden, Obama said his proposals will "put more money in the pockets of working families and middle-class families."

The president's plan, to be unveiled after Labor Day, is expected to include tens of billions of dollars to renovate thousands of public schools and a tax break to encourage businesses to hire new workers, according to people familiar with White House deliberations.

Though he did not offer such specifics in his remarks, Obama said his proposals "are bipartisan ideas that ought to be the kind of proposals that everybody can get behind, no matter what your political affiliation might be."

"So my hope and expectation is that we can put country before party and get something done for the American people," he said

So far Obama has claimed that both his Stimulus (economic Recovery act of 2009) and his Obama-care were Republican ideas, so what else is new? More like his proposals will “put more money in the pockets of left leaning voters like those government union people in the picture.

Obama says he is the only one that puts ‘country over politics’, and he does this splitting his time between vacations and fund-raisers.

President Obama said Monday that the jobs plan he will unveil next week will include ideas with bipartisan appeal.

He means some "tax cuts" targeted at people not paying taxes (for Republicans, of course) and more corruption and vote-buying (for Dims).

Obama thinks a shovel ready job is having a union man dig a hole so another union man, waiting til the first one is done, can then fill it while the digger rests.

Voila! One hole, two jobs. And what teamwork!

All they need is one or two RINO’s to support it and they can call it bipartisan.

Bipartisan =

A little that will encourage economic activity.
+
A whole lot more that will stomp it out.

If there was a plan to drop some regualtions and along with that he says he will quit and leave the country, that would have my support.

The biggest and best job plan he could offer is his resignation.

And what evidence is there that this country is being hampered by the quality of the physical plant of our school systems? My county has been seemingly sparing no expense in renovating schools, yet (surprise, surprise!) the students perform the same in the spiffy new schools as they did in the old ones. Now we can take that to a national scale and spend tens of billions of borrowed dollars in about the least efficient way possible. And Obama and the MSM act surprised that the economy is still down. It’s NEVER going to recover with Team Obama in charge. NEVER. These guys are simply accelerating the train the wrong direction down the track.

Notice that the statement does not say “bipartisan support”.

Never try to convince liberals with facts. It's a complete waste of energy. It has been demonstrated, literally thousands of times, that merely spending money on failing schools has had zero impact on the academic performance of the students.

The ulimate test case, wherin virtually unlimited funds were spent on underperforming schools in Kansas City, Missouri, is summarized in The American Thinker. The evidence is routinely ignored by the left.

More money going into the schools? We don’t need renovation.......remember when schools were one room buildings? I think my parents and grand parents did pretty good with schools like this.”””

I attended a one room school, as did all 3 of my brothers.

We all have been self-employed for the past 30+ number of years. They all have had employees—as many as 65—in their lives as self-employed. I was alone with my business.

We got a superior education in that one room school—no running water, so it was brought in every day in a 10 gallon milk can & put into a ceramic dispensor. The 2-hole toilets were out back. A merry-go-round was our only playground entertainment.

I would NOT trade those years or being in elementary school in that time period for one single minute of being in a school today.

Sure it will have bi partisan appeal.

Conservatives will a-peel back the cover and
expose it for the taxation scheme it is.

WHEN EXACTLY would all these ‘renovations’ occur?

School is just starting up again in most of the country. Shutting down buildings for renovation during the school year—when kids don’t learn squat in the first place-—if another game of double speak.

The quality of education is not measured by how fresh the paint is on the walls. PERIOD.
