You know, there is something called a remote control where you can change the channel. Try using it and let those of us in areas potentially impacted by record flooding get news of such.

I agree. They should back off and find something else to watch.

I thought the roof was going to blow off my house last night, and I'm not near the shore. Millions are without power. So far, I have power, but it's still raining and the winds are wild.

I don’t think the naysayers realize just how much the NE dodged a bullet. Irene had Cat 3 barometric pressure and Cat 1 winds. If Irene had been like Ike, a strong and large Cat 2, well, ask Houstonians what a storm like that can do. The media has a lot of people in place and fortunately the storm was weaker than the conditions indicated. So of course they are reporting silly stuff now. But once the freshwater flooding cranks up, it won’t be so silly.
