Last time I checked there were winds of 65 miles per hour. We have storms like that move through Oklahoma quite often (and yes, lots of local hype). I suppose the hype is to warn the unsuspecting, unaccustomed populace. But enough already. Be prepared but do not panic or induce panic or use the storm as an excuse to boast for political benefit or increase government power.

Here are my two cents: A) you live on the Atlantic coast; B) hurricanes happen; C) be prepared.

That is three cents, but the third one is free.

FYI hurriances don’t normally come this far up the coast and we are not used to 65mph winds. I have tree limbs all over my street, yesterday the wind speed was 3mph today it’s a lot higher. This is serious business, transformers exploding, tornadoes on top of hurricane conditions, etc. You can poo poo it all you want, but this is no joke.

If you live on the water, eventually you will live in the water at one time or another. Deal with it. It’s the price you pay, clean up the mess and move on and thank God this was not a Katrina, Camille, etc.
