There has absolutely GOT to be a political motivation to this media-ginned storm hysteria, even as Irene is collapsing. Help me out here.
a. To take the attention off Obama’s agonistes.
b. To give Obama a Horatius-at-the-bridge leadership moment.
c. To try and blow a little hot air into the deflated global warming hemorrhoid.
d. It’s just the Silly Season and we need some dramatic headlines.
Any other possibilities?
Make the storm look terrible, make Zero look in command, make W look incompetent for Katrina, blame even more things on W.
