Is it me, or is the media stoking this Hurricane Irene (the end of the world as we know it) for everything its worth?

Or, is this driven by the TV news cycle?

There is nothing wrong with being prepared, and there will be damage without a doubt. I just don't see Armageddon stemming from Hurricane Irene as we're being conditioned to accept.
