Rain coming down HARD now in NW Connecticut. This rain is just from the outer-outer bands of Irene (per radar).
Godspeed to all of my good FRiends south of CT currently enduring the wrath of Irene, and for all FReepers in Irene's path...

You take care up there nutmeg.
It started raining about 5 this morning and as of noon we’ve had 5 inches and the main part of the storm isn’t going to be up to us until about 11 tonight. That’s better than originally forecast when it was supposed to hit at high tide.

Hmm, just sprinkling here in SE CT. Likely will start raining soon enough. Take care!

No sooner read your post and the rain started here in western MA...just as I finished outside. Calm rain so far.

An hour later and it is starting to come down harder here in SE CT as well.
Likely +/- 24 hours of rain from here on out.
