I'm sure glad I don't have to figure this storm out. Buoy # LLNR550 is a prime example. Its off Va. Bch. Last night between 8:50 and 9:50pm the winds were calm registered by the buoy. Barometer was 28.64. Seas were 20 feet indicating they were in the eye to me. An hour later when you would expect 80 knot sustained winds coming out of the eye it was far less-- 40.8,nothing computes for me,I don't get it.
Meteorology is indeed a complex science.
