And your proof of that is? Maybe you could tell us how the NHC could pull off such a lie when the storm is currently over land and meterological stations close to the center can also see what the pressure is.

You are so wedded to your line of b.s. that you are now making a conspiracy out of something as mundane as a pressure reading. Get a grip.

You know, this says a lot, considering how long I’ve been on this board, but:

You’re perhaps the most spectacularly uninformed poster I’ve ever seen here.

By the way, one of your beloved surface stations is reporting 960 mb 20 miles away from the center. But I’m sure they’re all part of the giant conspiracy.

This morning as the storm made landfall I spent some time poking around radioreference.com. I settled on a ham/shortwave relay transmissions. One by one, anonymous radio operators were giving their readings from various places in NC and VA. They were reporting mb as low as the 960’s, even remember hearing one say 950-something. Most said 970/980’s as I recall. “And dropping.”

So, yeah.
