Yep, star of the sea!
Posting from my netbook, we just turned off the desktop computers as the power is really starting to flicker here. Dunno if I can access FR from my cell as it’s not a smartphone (LG Neon)
I’m listening to some more right now.
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?feedId=9538
York County/Spring Grove, PA just reported 91% humidity, pressure 29.36 and falling
Egg Harbor Township/Atlantic City, NJ just reported 29.31 and falling, temp 74.4F winds NE
can sit here and listen to them all night.
humina, humina, errr, some low - some high.
Actually we go from sea level to maybe 50’, I’m guessing?
@breakingweather AccuWeather
Virginian-Pilot reports 8 foot storm surge at the downtown Norfolk VA flood gate #irene
Good to see you checking in.
That’s cool very fascinating listening to it.
Thanks for providing your update. Please update when you can. Stay safe! {{{hugs}}}
It's a calm night in Central NH, 29.81 steady, 72F 90% humidity, winds calm. Track is right over us tomorrow around 4pm, hope to make church at 8:30am, then indoors for the rest of the day.
NN, your threads are amazing! Thank you so much!
I’ve always been fascinated by that place
since the Andy Garcia movie. Looks liks
a really neat locale. Is it a vehicle
commute to the city or boat?
Prayers for your safety, for sure. God
bless.
Hunker down .. be safe. God bless.
Keep us posted tomorrow! All best wishes to you through the storm. Take care!
Light rain has been falling for about 30 minutes in Northern CT. No wind yet.
I’m guessing you’re on City Island. I’m right across the way here on Manhasset Isle. Guess we’ll see what high tide’s like tomorrow morning around 11:20 - the storm center’s expected to be here about noon. I have about 4 1/2 feet of height and 30 feet of linear distance separating my living room floor from the everyday high tide mark.. has the potential to be a really lousy Sunday morning.
The stations at or near the center of the storm are what you want. Here’s a buoy near the current center: http://buoybay.noaa.gov/locations/first-landing.html
It’s now reading 28.55 inHg (967 mb).
Yeah it’s fairly rote and gets boring after awhile, but it’s interesting to get real-time data from people affected. It’s all logged then given to the NHC.
Hope everyone’s safe. Still not much happening here in NE PA. Light drizzle and breeze.
Funny movie, but just fiction. My boat was in that movie!
We are a fascinating place, like no other anywhere. When you tell someone your from the BRONX!!! OMG!!! But if I blindfolded you and brought you here, you could NEVER guess where on the planet you were.
There is one bridge to get here by car, and you go through a very very big park to get here. Boat travel is mostly for pleasure...
I thought it meant—Good for you! :)
No problems here in Northern VA. Steady rain, steady light winds. We’re a long way from the real action.
