Karl Rove responds to controversy over his speculation if Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin will indeed enter the GOP field. Rove said chances are she will jump in, but was not definitive in his observation.
"I'm mystified," Rove said about reaction to his speculation. "Look, she is all upset about this saying how I am trying to sabatouge her in some way. How do I speculate on her future."
"Look, if she doesn't want to be speculated about a potential presidential candidate there is an easy way to end the speculation. Simply say 'I'm not running.' Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye like she did on CNN, at the Iowa State fair a short number of days ago. she said 'I haven't made a decision.'"
"I'm just speculating that more likely than not she is going to be a candidate."
"Now I said 'I wouldn't bet a lot of money on it' because it is such a close thing and I am not privy to her thought-making process. But it is sign of enormous thin-skin that if we speculate about her, she gets upset. And I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she would be upset and getting ways to get us to speculate about her."

Either you didn't even see that episode or didn't understand it. It was a clear comparison between a conservative (independent) mom vs. a liberal (dependent) mom. Gosselin looked like an incompetent fool.
I'll reserve judgment. The poster they were addressing is a well known PDSer.
Wow, you said that on FR? Expect flak from Palinbots. Ton of it.
Exactly. She never addressed Rove at all in this. Palin mentioned that if anyone claimed to have “inside information” they were lying. She then said something about GOP establishment types that need to be booted out by voters in 2012. Karl’s ego led him to believe it was all about him.
Polybius is a well known PDSer. Nothing they say is a surprise.
resigned to save her family from destitution and the state from tens of millions in frivilous lawsuits?
Problem 1, in my eyes, did she ever ask any of us concerned, caring, compassionate conservatives for legal/financial help?
Problem 2: If the ethics law Pailn “championed” (http://www.zimbio.com/Molly+McCann/articles/j-Uy5esbQws/Survival+Sarah+Palin+Enemies+Running) became the weapon of choice for her trumped-up-lawsuit opposition, should I trust other Palin-proposed legislation?
I thought Palin quitting...was because of the way AK politicians must defend lawsuits. The citizens pay.
And also were there not many totally bogus lawsuits?? But had to be litigated anyway?
It was my understanding....that she quit, thus saving the citizens of the State of AK...thousands of $$.
I dunno...I've owned positions in stocks...that went against me, and I took my losses. In order to not take MORE losses.
I've had other investments...that I got out of, before I lost my shirt. I never thought that was quitting....But always that was sound business practice.
Granted....I'm not 100% sure that's how it went down for Palin...but that is what I remember reading.
FWIW-

Let freedom thrive this year and in the future
Declared and awoved Rick Perry Supporter!
I give my opinions for free... don’t need pay. And, that was what I offered... MY opinion.
Bye.
“I had no ready response.”
Then you are no General.
The Undefeated also depicts that the previously cooperative legislature dug in its heels to oppose everything she wanted to accomplish for political reasons. Thus, her lt. guv was in a better position to take over and keep Alaska moving ahead.
Rove of course is himself incredibly thin-skinned. He’ll take unfair hacks at people for his own personal agenda, but let someone point that out and then he really gets vicious for it having been pointed out.
Roughly a third of the electorate is staunchly conservative and votes GOP no matter. Roughly another third is staunchly liberal and always votes Democrat. But independents, untethered by political parties and skeptical of political institutions are basically nonideological and base their voting on the “man” not the “party”. They are sometimes moved by superficial factors-—how a candidate parts his hair——but are more often motivated by results and performance and the economy usually trumps all other issues.
In 2006 and 2008 the independents swung strongly towards the Democrats, disenchanted with the long wars and tanking economy. But in 2010 they came back strongly to the GOP and they will most likely stay with the GOP in 2012 as well assuming no major improvement or turnaround in the economy.
When she resigned the lawsuits had cost Alaska $2 Mil already. All of the lawsuits were dismissed. One was for holding up a dead fish. No. I don’t know what the point of that suit was. Another for having a logo on her coat.
He was probably referring to this.

I don’t see his name specifically mentioned though. I believe he mentioned SarahPAC.
Considering half or more of the U.S. voters are swayed by the near head-lock on the media airways, papers, mags, etc...It’s a wonder he even came close.
Lol.
Sorry buddy, but looked to me like SP was staging a retreat. I prefer to be on offense at all times.
