That filtration process sounds like it could work, but for the money and effort I would much rather buy higher end vodkas. ;)
Agree—worth the extra bucks for the convenience of just pouring it out....no fuss, no muss, no mess.
Will try the ice trick with the Amaretto for this Eggnog Martin I make at the holidays.
Eggnog Martin: Shake over ice 2 1-2 oz dairy Eggnog, oz Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka, ¾ oz Amaretto.
Strain into chilled martini glass. Dust with grated nutmeg or cinnamon.
