And as an example of that, I’d highlight the Department of Agriculture’s settlement with black farmers, where any black person who claimed that they had “attempted to farm”, but couldn’t, because of discrimination, is entitled to $50,000 in compensation from taxpayers. Lawyers get a cut of these cases so they have an incentive to sign up as many people as possible, and many of these “farmers” have never even been on a farm.
