At least one of the finials has fallen from the tower (at a Drudge link, the article seemed to say three had broken; perhaps I misread that). It looks like the finials are cruciform.

[This is seriously reminiscent of the storm a couple of years ago which broke the steeple and cross off the church where the ELCA governing body was voting to turn the ELCA pro-homosexual.]

So: God's critique of the Episcopal Church and/or the National Cathedral? He removes one of the crosses on the building?

Weren't they going to read from the Koran at the National Cathedral this month? When was that -- anyone remember?
