5.5 earthquake hits Trinidad area, Colorado, US

http://thewatchers.adorraeli.com/2011/08/23/5-5-earthquake-hits-trinidad-area-colorado-us/

Colorado doesn’t have a whole lot of earthquake activity. There was really no way to monitor scientifically till about 1960. Here is an interesting link on the seismic activity that has happened here thus far...

And according to this - there have been 156 earthquakes in the past 100 years (8.22.1911 - 8.22.2011)

So 10 of those have been in the past 24 hours

well well well
I was just in my first earthquake, here in MD (felt the 5.8 in Virginia)

So that’s what they feel like!

Cellphone service seems to be out to DC, shades of 9-11
