I sort of wish Trump would get back into the Primary race. That would shake things up and make the news interesting!
You know, Rick Santorum said something interesting on Fox, so interesting I had to even call my wife and repeat it. And what he said sort of made me take a second look at him and the bigger picture. He said, the Republican candidate is going to win Texas - that we don't need a Perry to win that state. But we do need someone to win Ohio, Pennsylvania (other?) ... and as soon as I thought about it, I realized not only did I not think about that, but it's a great point.
Can Santorum win Ohio and Pennsylvania? If fellow, wiser than I am Republicans give me the straight up on that one, if Rick is the guy to win those states, maybe I might consider him as the candidate.
He lost his reelection bid in PA (where he was senator) by 18% points. He endorsed Arlen Spector over Pat Toomey saying Toomey couldn't win in PA, and obviously that wasn't true, since Toomey beat Spector. He is a joke, always has been, and even admitting you don't know who can win PA, you still know who can win PA more than him.
PS - I'm not as familiar w/ OH as I am w/ PA, but if G. Bush could win OH, why couldn't Rick Perry? I like Ron Paul, but he's not electable, and I'm somewhat OK w/ Bachmann, but I like Perry's Exec experience in a state that's as big as a medium-size country. I'm sticking w/ him until he or someone else gives me a good reason not to.
