Muslims demand Sharia student loans because paying interest goes against Islamic law
Daily Mail UK ^ | August 22, 2011

Muslim groups are calling for a separate student loan system because the interest due to be charged will conflict with rules of Sharia law.

The changes to tuition fees, which come into force next year, will see students charged higher rates of interest on the loans they take out to pay for university.

Until now they have paid the market rate of inflation but the reforms mean students who go on to earn more than £21,000 will have to pay interest of up to 3 per cent.

But in some interpretations of Sharia law, which is Islam's legal system and governs every aspect of Muslim life, loans are forbidden.

Every little accommodation to islam is another ratchet-click on the one-way trip to full sharia law.

It's their universal formula, perfected over 1,400 years for application against weak-kneed and divided infidels.

If loans are forbidden, they can do without the education. Case closed.

I thought that the prohibition was against CHARGING interest, not paying it. On that basis, do I get to claim it is against my religion to pay for anything?

screw the camel bumpers, make em pay, just tell them we don’t give a rats butt about sharia, go to a country that cares..when a religion has laws which conflict with society it is not resolvable without destroying the rights of others..they must find a place where they are welcomed..

I worked full time and paid for school as I went. Yes, it was difficult. Yes, you give up social life. Then again, you have no debt.

i wouldn’t be surprised, if there are ALREADY sharia education loans in the USA now.

Fannie Mae made the first sharia mortgage loan back in 2001?

...now, that Obama has taken over the student loan industry,
i would bet money, if a Muslim student applied for a loan that would meet sharia interest requirements, it would be arranged.

Then don't take out the loan. Problem solved.

So can I just say I’m a Muslim and get an interest-free loan? Or do I have to show them a cut-off head as proof.

The Muslims can lend to their own interest free as much as they want.

creeping sharia. all around.
Gulen Islamist schools, built with TAXPAYER money,
in most States, especially Virginia and Texas.

Halal foods in most supermarkets. (look for the tiny mark,
indicating the meat has been slaughtered after a prayer to Allah. Christians should understand, this is meat sacrificed in the name of another God. Some Christian churches oppose this...)

Maybe we are going about the whole idea of restoring the country int he wrong way, maybe we should “create” a new religion that follows the teaching of “10 amemendments” ie the bill or rights and the constitution and adhere to them scrictly.

We could call it Constitutionalarian

And demand that the government follow it bvecause to not have them do so would be offesive to our “religion”.

I have two kids in college right now. Would love to have non interest loans. Where do I sign up? The nearest mosque? Would they hold it against me if I’ve fought muzzies in three different countries?

Just pile a bunch of pork in with it...should be marked down the next day.
