You’re 100% wrong. I apologize for appearing arrogant, but I suspect you know I’m right and that’s why you are lashing out.

1. Perry has done far, far more on tort reform than any other Governor. That’s a fact. He enacted Proposition 12 on med mal lawsuits and just passed legislation limiting frivolous lawsuits by levying some fees on plaintiffs and allowing meritless suits to be dismissed early in the process.

2. Perry signed the sonogram law mandating sonograms prior to abortions.

3. Texas has the best business climate in the USA, per Forbes, S&P, etc.

4. Perry has the best record against the intrusion of the EPA in the country. Perry is suing the Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of Texas over its December decision to regulate greenhouse gases as a pollutant.

I could go on and on and on. I’m right.

There are a number of states that did a tad more on tort reform several decades back. Governor Otis Bowen of Indiana (elected in 1973 and again in 1981) brought in substantive tort and malpractice insurance reform which has been very successful. The top 5 states in terms of MEDICAL INDUSTRY are CA, TX, NY and FL. Indiana, with a fraction of the population of any of those states is #5.

That's 38 years ago ~ the issues been around a long time ~ interesting that Texas is only now cleaning up the mess, but keep at it.
