More details needed. Do we even known that the Egyptian troops weren’t firing at the Israelis?

Did Israel just back down to Obama? Or was that another situation that Obama demand that Israel apologize for?

I haven’t found a story yet that explains this incident in a way I can even begin to understand. In posting this, I’m hoping someone with knowledge can shed some light.

Israel was foolish to apologize. The Muslim Brotherhead is at war with Israel.

Maybe resetting to their own timing.

That's my first take on it, too. It was Barak who did the regretting, while Bibi is more occupied with domestic matters, so I have my doubts whether the regrets came from Israel's real leadership.

According to the article, "'Israel deeply regrets the deaths of the Egyptian officers,' Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said."
Israel can "regret" the death of someone without taking credit/blame for it.

All tangential. Poor Israel, the only democracy in the Mid East, is having to do everyone’s security work to take care of its own safety and security. It knows more than anyone there that peace and stability can provide many many things.... but islam doent want to have any of those things. They prefer to complain, and like animals of the field, mire in their (crap) failures.... and blame it all on the successful Jew.
