Some may question the wisdom of many of Reagan's actions, but unlike the Obama, none can question his patriotic motives. Whether he accepted 1) a tax increases in exchange for a triple the spending cuts, 2) a one time limited Amnesty in exchange for a real immigration enforcement to prevent future illegals, or 3) the "Democrat" Bowland Amendmant protecting Communist expansion in Central America for the sake of a vital defense bill being held hostage at a critical time in Reagan's strategy to end the cold war; each and every time he acted to protect America and its future. As for the Lefts charges against Reagan regarding the Bowland Amendment, how much different was Contra aid schemes to Roosevelt's "Destroyers for Bases" aid to England during the Neutrality Act days before WWII?
And you equate that with Obama's fiat Amnesty, which is, as everything he does, motivated by a desire to damage America and its future. If you seek to discuss Reagan's mistakes or missteps don't dare do it in defense of the Anti-American President!
To you and others Marquess of Queensberry referee to the Constitutionality of the acts of patriots, I here's what Thomas Jefferson said:
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
Yes it's fitting, because I make relevant points in an argument.
Reagan was the best, most conservative President we have had in our lifetime, and probably ever will.
And even though you seem hellbent on some idiotic quest to brand me as an Obama apologist, I will continue to point out the FACT that the conservative purists today would rip Reagan to shreds today for his actions and unavoidable compromises in the pursuit of the ideals of America.
Palin supports Reagan's 11th commandment, something more critical now than ever. Too few Perry-h8tersTM understand this.
Why do so many who lie that they admire Reagan and turn around and piss on his grave? (Rhetorical question)
