If I were Speaker of the House I would immediately convene a closed-door meeting of all House Republicans and call for impeachment hearings to begin next week. This issue is rather simple. Hearings should take no more than 2 weeks then schedule a vote of the House Judiciary Committee.

So what is the Congressional response to this. Can they defund NOT doing deporting illegals? How can Congress force a cabinet level agency to enforce its own rules? I do see a big problem with the article, though:

I've been unable to find any information about "work permits" for illegals other than on the standwitharizona.com website. It looks like the author just made up that part. So it seems like one response would be for the states to continue to restrict entitlements and services for illegals, i.e., no college enrollment, no employment available, no welfare or food stamps, etc. They can stay here, but they can't work and they can't eat. Maybe that's a way out of this mess.
