The libertarian presidential candidate nearly beat Michele Bachmann in the Iowa straw poll, but the press barely saw fit to mention it
In Saturday's Iowa straw poll, libertarian GOP candidate Ron Paul nearly emerged victorious, coming within less than one percentage point of the winner, Michele Bachmann. Of course, you'd hardly know it given the media's reporting, which focused on Bachmann's rise and Tim Pawlenty's disappointing third-place finish. The Daily Show even devoted a segment to the near press black-out on Monday night, with Jon Stewart asking "How did libertarian Ron Paul become the 13th floor in a hotel?"

I agree with you. We need this candidate Ron Paul to bring us back to our conservative roots. He is strong believer in the constitution and does not flip flop or tweak his views to suit a group of people he is speaking to.
Unfortunately, it looks like the GOP will nominate another empty suit whose main qualification is that he's a handsome man.
the liberal press again preventing the conservatives from success
“The last time Ron Paul ran as an Independent he got the nomination resulting in a whopping 0.5% of the popular vote and 0 electoral votes.”
He, like Bob Barr, ran as a Libertarian - in 1988.
Maybe they’re starting to realize that his elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top.
Ron Paul is not harmless! He is running for Prez again and he suck the oxygen out of the room!!!! He is a kook!
Thanks :-)
Did you hear about that disgraceful hit piece Paul’s campaign is circulating around? Looks like a pamphlet with the bold-typed headline “Have You Ever Had Sex with Rick Perry?” They were just talking about it on The Five, and even Beckel said they should be ashamed of themselves.
I think Beck or Rush talked about that today. I couldn’t believe a so called respectable candidate would be involved with this type of garbage politics. Really some Larry Flint stuff they are doing.
“They ignore him because he would steal votes from the Democrats.”
a) the media gives him WAY too much attention - it seems like most of the networks - CNN, ABC and many others are constantly interviewing him, I think because they want to portray the entire GOP as wacky;
b) he would steal votes from the Republicans, because far too many misguided souls think he’s a conservative (with considerable “help” from the media in calling him one.
Ever see how much pork RuPaul sends back to his district ?
All I will say is this, if I were invited to a Bilderburg meeting...I would go. Not because I agree, but I would like to hear what is being said.
If Barry invited me to a closed meeting, I would be on the first plane to D.C. Not because I agree with him...but to be a fly on the wall would be priceless.
Did you write that ? Awesome. Favorited.
It’s funny. I’m a Libertarian, yet I can’t stand RuPaul or his cyberstormtroopers, I never vote Libertarian (I only vote for Conservatives. If none are present, I abstain), and can’t stand even the other non-RuPaul Libertarians.
RuPaul reminds me of Old Man Smithers from the Scooby Doo cartoons.
