She should work her butt off to feed and clothe her child.

Or ask her church or relative for help, not the general public.

Agree with that 100% also agree with your tag line 100%!!

About ten years ago I got horrible food poisoning after eating oysters and I haven't been able to eat them since. It's too bad because some of the best oysters in the world are from here (though they are now depleted) and I really liked them.

OMG, I’m just going to have to lurk there. I thought I knew my way around the kitchen, but I have no experience with meat related fights. I wouldn’t know what to throw.

Thank you. Maybe the Almighty permits me to dredge this stuff up from 40 years ago, for a reason. Gotta hope so.

She was stating, as the article had stated, that the children did not attend public school.

Not sure what your point is, my point is private school is expensive and don't know what their policy is but at the Christian school my DIL attended, her dad (the pastor) did not get any more of a discount than anyone else. You might not be familiar since I believe you homeschool which brings other costs into effect as well if you get textbooks, etc.

How lucky you are, as a stay at home mom I had no computer of course but also my day was so filled with cooking, cleaning, canning, sewing, etc, I would not have had the time to be on a computer 24/7.

Now that my kids are grown, I have more time.

Throw the tilapia.

From Wikipedia:

"China is the largest Tilapia producer in the world, seconded by Egypt.[10] Commercially grown tilapia are almost exclusively male. Cultivators use hormones such as testosterone to reverse the sex of newly spawned females. Because tilapia are prolific breeders, the presence of female tilapia results in rapidly increasing populations of small fish, rather than a stable population of harvest-size animals.[11]"

I'm sure Tax-chick appreciates your empathy as much as I, particularly on a thread that has been so divisive.

I don't know enough about Joette to say anything about her with assurance, but I do wonder whether she could ever see things a different way. Could she come to see other persons, one by one, not as economic units or rivals or annoying methan-emitters, but as, at least, critters just as legitimate as dolphins or red-tail hawks or whatever else she happens to share the planet with?

At least that. I hope so. You're right, her reflex anti-human feeling is weird and repellent.

I do apologize, I tend to respond in kind which is not always “kind”. Thank you for the gentle reminder.

I think maybe you just don't realize how very lucky you are.

I look back on my life, and those were my happiest days. I'm not sure I'd want to do it again (too old, don't have the energy!), but they were the best memories.

It's basically sacrilege to try to overpower the flavor of shrimp with a bunch of salad stuff!

It's too late for lunch now. How about a scallop appetizer? :)

The best shrimp in the world is the fried shrimp appetizer at this restaurant:
