Why did the tea party support Perry last year if he is not supportive of the tea party?

Because Kay Bailey Hutchison was even worse.
If he is so bad, they should have looked elsewhere. Why waste valuable resource pushing someone so terrible. Certainly, some one Texas could have run if Perry was so bad.
Perry is good on most issues, but some have a litmus test that involves walking on water.
