I admit I’m confused. There was a time known as “before Gore was a scumbag”? As far as I can tell Armand’s little protege has always been a weasel - which makes me leery of Perry’s support for him.
Tell us about this please. Was Gore an underling of Armand HAMMER? That Perry would support such a guy (if I am reading you right) is reprehensible. Bob
There was a time when I voted for Jimmy Carter, too....such a long time ago. With age comes wisdom.
Yep. Sort of. Tennessee is a fairly conservative state and when he represented those people he at least tried to appear reasonable or perhaps more likely he faked it. In any event he wasn't the same politician then in public as he became later when he was freed after the 2000 race to become world clown.
Quote of the Day. In the 80s, you either supported Reagan, or you didn't.
Albert Jr learned all he knew from the master of Liberal Al Sr. His Pappy invented Liberalsim for just for LBJ. LOL. Any Republican who agrees with Gore politics be it current or earlier is not a Republican who will ever get my vote.
I think little Al had too much exposure to the lead in Armand’s pencils.

"How can Al Gore be a sleazebag? This question was asked of me recently by a fellow former Republican congressman with whom I served in the early 1980s. This guy was just shaking his head over the transformation of Gore. Back when we were in the House with the then-representative from Carthage Tennessee, Gore was known for being a liberal with honor (a rare thing!). Gore had class and wasn't a low-life like many of the New Left who had come into politics during Vietnam and Watergate. Gore was very proper, well raised by his senator father and educated at good schools. You could say what you wanted about Gore yes, he was a wacko lefty on the environment who saw the internal combustion engine as the enemy of mankind but NO ONE ever accused Gore of being a liar or a crook. NO ONE!
