Yes. Taxes are better in Florida. That is why so many business owners and wealthy people give up their MN residency and move to Florida for a bit over 6 months out of the year. Now if Democrats had not made MN so uncompetitive on taxes and these business and wealthy had stayed in MN, taxes wouldn’t have to be so high on all of us.

As far as taxes for the roads: We have been told that is why MN fuel tax per gallon is $.27 per gallon, 20th highest in the nation. Then we have a 5 to 8% state income tax, real estate taxes of about 1.2% of value, sales tax of 7.125% or higher, and of course fees, fees, fees on everything you do.

I know all about the taxes in MN. I grew up there. They were bad then and they are worse now. MN winters though make a difference. I go up usually about twice a year and they are always having to repair roads due to frost boils and other winter related problems.
While I do not like user fees, I do feel they are more fair than taxes. They only affect the people using the services provided. If I do not use the state parks why should I have to subsidize them. Taxes should be used only for services that are absolutely needed by everybody,(police, national security, etc.). The rest should be paid for by those who use them.
