I also think that wanting a Sarah Palin GOP nomination is the epitomy of irrationality, recklessness, foolishness and idiocy since, in the general election, Obama would beat Sarah Palin like a rented mule.

I like Palin. I thought her show with Greta on ANWR was superb. I like her fight,I like her politics. She has to pee or get off the pot. I don’t think it is strategic for her at all to sit on the fence.I see no logic in it whatsoever-I am sorry. She does not have a lick of a chance with Perry in. She has said if the right candidate gets in she will not run. She endorsed Perry in the past. I see Palin right now as making the best secretary of energy ANWR- drill baby drill.

Yes, you made the other point I forgot to.Obama would beat Palin in a national election; the polls and the independent voters don’t lie.Palin should have grabbed the reins like Bachmann did to debate more and try to garner more votes than just her base.
Palin was unfairly alinskyized. The Indy voters are not appalled by Bachmann because of her fair tax; attorney past.Bachmann is in the heartbeat of the issues daily and could muddle through with foreign affairs.Palin cannot.

Another good reason for Perry to pick Rubio as his running mate. Florida took a huge hit economically when NASA was shut down. Double payback.

On top of that, Sen. Nelson has his highest support from bluehairs and NASA employees, he may keep the bluehairs but the NASA vote is gone.

Picking Rubio will bring in the Hispanic vote, shore up Perry’s questionable conservative record, assure Nelson is gone as he will also be a NASA reminder and cause the left to explode.

The Governor has many ceremonial duties. He’s been in office 10+ years, so there have been quite a few. The Governor would naturally greet the Aga Khan when he came to the State.

He accepted money from Khan for a program in Texas to teach history teachers about the history of Islam. I wish it were for science and English, but at least it’s not tax money. Neither is the money used for class room lessons as it was in Mansfield ISC.
