While the legal system grinds along slowly spending on Obamacare continues apace. In the meantime, hundreds of millions of dollars are being needlessly wasted in implementing the provisions of the legislation, which it now appears will not survive in its current form if at all. Given the dire financial condition of the country, the USSC should find a way to expedite the decision.

Thanks. Great post. I agree 100%

Federal ban on partial birth abortion. That’s the only one I can think of.

As a lawyer I should know this but don’t.
I know that if a case is heard and the SCOTUS splits 4-4 then the tie goes to the lower court.
But what if the court takes up consolidated appeals from circuits that have come to different conclusions?
Can the Chief Justice decide to just set the one he agrees with for a hearing instead of consolidating?
I just don’t know.

That is going to be devastating to Obama come election time if the law is overturned. Obama and the Democrats forced us to spend ???? millions of dollars to enforce their unconstitutional expansion of big government into your doctor’s office.

“ad-hoc death panel for Obamacare” today....

Tomorrow “ad-hoc death panel for Obama Czars”
Next... “ad-hoc death panel for EPA, DOEn, DOEd, DOL (esp NLRB), DHS, ATF, DEA, et al”

the private sector can pick up missing pieces from the above that somebody actually finds useful (won’t be much).

All in all best news this year if it holds

I question even that now. When they are still finding baby parts it sounds like something is still going on.

You have to really stretch don’t you to point to something. The space program was a benefit but it lined a lot of pockets and was certainly wasteful in many respects.

Well yes I have to stretch.
And the ban only applies to federal territories and interstate situations.
It doesn’t stop it in every state.
