Palin: Could I Support Somebody Like Mitt Romney? Yeah
DES MOINES, Iowa 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said Friday that she still hasnt decided if shes going to run for president. Palin is also undecided about whom she would endorse if she ultimately decided against entering the race. Swarmed by media and supporters at the Iowa State Fair, the former governor of Alaska told The Daily Caller that shes not concerned that Mitt Romney is considered the frontrunner at this time. No, nothing worries me at this point, Palin told TheDC. Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah. When TheDC pointed out that some tea partiers have pledged to make sure Romney doesnt get the nomination, Palin said, Im of the mind of ABO Anybody But Obama, at this time.
Why not, she endorsed McCain.
Honey, you do know that DeMint is the biggest Romney suck up out there, right? You do know that he endorsed Romney in 2007 when there were other, better conservatives in the race, right? So before you attempt to give Palin a hard time, you’d better take a good look at your boy.
Might be ;)
One has PDS if one objects to Palin supporting Romney?
Many principled conservatives would back a Tea Party alternative if Willard gets the nomination.
Durn tootin'! How dare people actually express their opinions freely. Let's hope JimRob and the admins put a stop to this IMMEDIATELY!
I am glad you are well. The correct part? Not so much and you know it.
But we will just leave it there.
Clearly you need an education about Romney and Free Republic. Willing to be you’ll be schooled soon.
Lol :) only in my head.. so I know what to expect when I see the name of the thread OP ;)
(I was also being a bit sarcastic with evil thoughts running through my mind :D )
Have a great day :)
I was just about to point him/her out. Another newbie stirring the pot.
Somehow, I can't imagine support for Romney Presidency being allowed here given how strongly those running the site feel about Willard.
As for Mitt Romney, I'm from Massachusetts and I liked him, a lot. He was always fighting the 95% Democrat legislature, and sometimes winning. He really does have Presidential ability, through and through. I never could understand his connection to what is now known as "Romney care", he simply wasn't a RINO in the mold of a John McCain or Olympia Snow and the others. Economically, he's more like a Ronald Reagan, so it is puzzling. I'm no expert on politics by any means, but I do know this: Romney was pitted against a 95% leftist Legislature, and a 100% radical, liberal Mass. Supreme Court. Between the High Court and the Legislature, there really wasn't a thing he could have done to stop the Massachusetts health care bill. Some say his involvement in signing that bad bill ensured that some of the most atrocious elements of the bill were taken out through his participation and negotiations with the liberals.
So personally, I really wish he just washed his hands of the thing and let it pass through the Mass. Supreme Court. BUT, if he did that it would have helped him politically, while allowing Massachusetts health care to become even more repressive and atrocious than it is now. In any case, he'd be an infinately better leader than Hussein Obama, and also better than some of the current Republican candidates. My personal choice is a Bachman/Santorum duo, in any order. Or a Palin/Pawlenty, also in any combination. But the best will survive and the weaker ones will be eliminated over time, and we'll just have to wait and see.
May God bless America with good leaders, of Christian morals and values, strong character, a love of our Constitution, a strong backbone, and a sincere desire to save our country from ruin. And may God will it to happen.
Mr. Sucks is the ghost of Pissant past.
You’ve been on the PDS train for months.
I always verify articles I read. It was this photo that allowed me to conclude that there must be some truth in the Romney/Palin connection (whatever it may be)
I'm sure Sarah would support a Corn Dog over Obama (as would I), geez.
Keeping lists of people who disagree with you politically? What are you, some kind of fascist?
This was reported on FOX News tonight. FOX did not mention that she jumped on the phone to clarify her comment.
I’ve got to go back and find that quote from Rush where he said she’s a Republican first.
And that's a smart move! I support her stance!
I just wished she would hold back her support so that we can nominate a Conservative first and not have to have Romney.
