Smokin’ Joe and Karographer - have you read Travis McGee/Matthew Bracken’s trilogy - “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”?

I cannot say how highly I recommend them. Anyone who reads them will have an education into what is happening now, what could very well happen, most like will - and WHY we all need to prepare for it.

Yes, LJ, I've read them, and they are well worth the read! I realized long ago that the more outrageous the crime, the less likely people were to believe that it had been committed (Almost like the Looting of America).

In fact, if someone went down the list of "conspiracy theories" and incorporated elements thereof, they would likely (especially with a willing or co-opted press) be able to get away with the blatant commission of that crime in broad daylight, just by rolling their eyes and muttering about 'conspiracy theorists', and letting the media take their cue and ridicule their accusers.

Sometimes a conspiracy is just a conspiracy. Not theoretical, but real.

But whether, for instance anyone would believe that our Southern Border had been left open to invasion for the purposes of running drugs or padding elections, that a standing president might have been benefitting from the illegal drug trade, financially and/or politically, is primarily related to whether that president and the person shared political affiliation--regardless of what was going on.

People would readily believe Clinton might be involved in cocaine smuggling operations (Mena) if they were not Democrats, but not that any other President (except the current one) might have a slice of that pie, directly or indirectly. Yet nothing got done to secure the border, no matter who was running things.

People woke up dead in the morning, and it was blamed on 'suicide', plane crashes, train wrecks, 'terrorist' acts, 'random' crime, car accidents, etc., sudden criminal accusations/investigations/trial by media, have displaced key players from positions of power at critical moments and all we hear is the soap opera trial du jour in the news.

And stories of real, juicy conspiracy ('Gunwalker') get buried in the dross or never get exposure on the glass teat.

How anyone could conclude that there isn't some sort of massive conspiracy going on is beyond me, regardless of who they attribute the actions to or the motivation they suspect.

The 'theories' were an attempt to explain actions which do not make sense in a normal sociocultural framework, and the more outrageous the actions, the more outrageous the explanation, ergo, to get away with the 'perfect' crime, it needs to be outrageous in scope and scale and conducted in broad daylight.

Now playing in selected venues around the nation and the world.
