Romney asked about jobs cut when Bain Capital made acquisitions. Said sometimes investments don't work out. Praises Cain for having "real economy" experience in the private sector. Defends MA unemployment record by saying it was better than federal unemployment 3 of 4 years he was governor.

Commercial break. Press is loving the Bachmann vs Pawlenty moment.

Huntsman asked about illegal immigration: is he supporting citizenship for illegals? (Had to step out, missed his answer.)

Romney asked about immigration to. Secure border, employer crackdown, determine visa numbers based on needs of employment community.

Cain says enforce existing laws, promote current legal path to citizenship, empower the states to deal with immigration. "High fences and wide open doors."

Newt asked about boards for deciding who can stay and not. Suggests WWII selective service boards as model for local decision making. English as official language, attacks Obama's "moats and gator" talk.

Ron Paul opposes amnesty, suggests putting troops on border here, doesn't want businessmen as immigration enforcers. No entitlements for illegals, no mandate on the states to do it.

Romney asked about raising taxes. Romney says MA credit rating went up under his watch. Claims he cut spending, balanced budgets with a $2b rainy day fund.

Pawlenty asked about taxes (health impact fee on cigarettes). Regrets that decision, says it wasn't needed, says courts defended it was a 'fee', claims his budgets were balanced.

Bachmann asked about voting for the health impact fee/cigarette tax. She claims bill had a prolife provision in it too so she voted for it. Pawlenty accuses her a lying about the bill.
