Hockey Mom Running for Senate Seat In Wisconsin Recall Election Tues 8/16
kim simac for statesenate ^ | 8/11/2011

Posted on 08/10/2011 11:06:45 PM PDT by curth

Kim Simac owns a small business in which she raises and trains horses. Together she and her husband raised 9 children in the Eagle River area. They enjoy their 8 grandchildren and work hard to keep the Northwoods a vibrant place where families such as theirs can continue.

Kim is also a former radio host and an award winning author and publisher of patriotic children’s books. Her dedication to promoting American principles and values has established Kim as a nationally recognized public speaker. Kim is also a board member of the Northwoods Angelican Foundation, a board member of the Northwoods Hunter Jumper Circuit, a member of the United State Equestrian Federation and the NRA.

She is the founder of the Northwoods Patriots located in Eagle River. She is the 1st Vice Chair of the Vilas County Republican Party and President of the Republican Women of the North. When Jim Holperin ran away instead of fighting for the people of the Northwoods, Kim led the effort to gather more than 23,000 signatures to recall him.

Kim was overwhelmed by the positive reaction the recall received and by the many people who enthusiastically urged her to run. Kim considers the position as an elected official to be one of duty and honor, not a career. She decided to run because she knows the Northwoods needs a voice that isn’t afraid of challenges and a voice that won’t run away from the responsibility of representing the people of the 12th District in Northern Wisconsin.

Well, judging by the results this week, the people of Wisconsin were committed enough to fight off the attempt to overturn the will of the people. This series of recall elections does have national implications. It’s a huge victory for the citizens of Wisconsin and blueprint for the rest of America to be able to fight back against millions of dollars spent for special interest groups and power politics.

Support Simac and Steitz anyway you can. It doesn’t have to be financially. Just spreading the word about them is helpful.

I've contributed to both....

Given the the press here in WI is completely and totally biased to the far left, it is difficult if not impossible to get a feeling for what will happen on August 16th. I've heard it said that at least one of the dem/lib/prog/pops is in real danger of losing, but I have no other data at all to back that up.

But...that said....it does take money...and $5 ain't a heck of a lot, but these two Republicans can make a real difference in the State Senate and help our Governor, Scott Walker, with his incredible agenda

Could not agree more...but short of being able to vote for either of them (I cannot, because I do not live in their area), money will help more than anything.

At this point, from everyone here on FR....a lousy, paultry $5 to each of them will go a very long way indeed.

7 days to go....

Did anyone ever notice that conserevative women are generally HOT looking and Liberal Women are generally dogs?

I think its because most liberals are envious, jealous, vicious people twisted with hate for anyone more successful than they and it eventually effects their faces.

liberal women are rewared for being ugly.

Conservative women are rewarded for beauty.

of course ugly goes all the way to the bone.

Kim Simac - She brings a message of respect for those who serve and a reminder of what is at stake.

kimpic.JPG

Meet Kimberly Jo Simac and have her share her story of love and respect for America.

Author of

American Soldier Proud and Free

Kim has been traveling the country spreading her vision for the future and what she believes is desperately needed to save patriotism in the hearts of American children. A Wisconsin mother who raised 9 children, Kim wrote this story to bring honor and praise to our brave military personnel. When publishers rejected the notion of a "Post 9/11" subject and told Kim people were not interested in that subject, Kim and her husband funded the whole project themselves. So very alarming is the fact that the Pledge of Allegiance is disappearing from our schools and God, marriage and family are being torn to shreds at an ever increasing rate. Kim works to awaken Americans to the greatest danger ahead, a new generation raised without love or respect for God or country.

American Soldier Proud and Free has been featured on Fox Across America, Dr. Laura Schlessinger Show, American Family Journal and RFD-TV.

A keynote speaker at Viet Nam Moving Wall in 2008, Wisconsin Veterans Museum, Illinois American Legion Spring Conference on Americanism, Rotary Meetings, Veterans Meetings and book signings at many events such as the RNC Convention, Americans For Prosperiety Wisconsin Summit, USA Hockey Expo, Mrs. Simac's message is inspirational and her patriotic message is vital and crucial at this point in time.

What do you suppose the chances are of the "S" twins carrying through to victory??

I can find nothing in the WI press (well...duuuh!) telling me about who's ahead...etc. No polling data at all. And the TV adverts seem to have gone completely silent.

I'm not having any luck reading the "tea" leaves!

From what I learned yesterday from other FReepers, Simac has the best chance of winning.

Are you able to find any information in any WI press regarding "polling"??

During the runup to last Tuesday's re-call....there was a plethora of polling data out seemingly by the hour!!

I haven’t looked for any polling data.

I do tend to avoid local TV (local news out of Madison is way to liberal for my blood pressure). So if there has been polling on the news, I have missed it.

I must admit I didn’t even know who was running in next week’s recalls until I asked FReeper Jean S. She gave me the websites to Simac and Steitz’s campaigns.

I would like to know how much donations have gone up for Simac and Steitz in the last 2 days.
